WHO ARE TUNISIAN CAMPERS AND HOW DID IT START?

THE STORY

MOHAMED TEMIMI DISCOVERS HIS PASSION FOR OUTDOOR

In 2015, during a trip to Europe, Mohamed Temimi embarked on his first hike and recognized the positive effects that nature had on his physical and mental health. Recalling the experience, he said, “On the way to the forest, I was intrigued by the luminous hue of green it radiated from a distance. The feeling was indescribable. While spending time in nature, I discovered that its energy is pure, untainted, and restorative.”

THEREFORE, HE BEGINS TO EXPLORE THE MOST UNUSUAL NATURAL PLACES IN THE COUNTRY.

Upon his return to Tunisia, Mohamed Temimi found himself overwhelmed by the wealth of untouched nature that had been there all along. He subsequently embarked on a journey throughout the country, exploring forests, beaches, deserts, islands, and mountains that he had never before beheld. "How could I have overlooked so much beauty without taking notice?" he pondered.

IN 2018, HE FOUNDED TUNISIAN CAMPERS

Mohamed was able to build a devoted following on social media by sharing his travels. This spurred him to establish Tunisian Campers in 2018, a company that provides the opportunity for Tunisians and foreigners alike to explore the nation. His supporters, passionate about environmentalism and adventure, served as the driving force behind this endeavor.

We organize events in the untouched beauty of nature, far from any man-made constructions. We offer our community unique and original moments by taking them to forests, beaches, mountains, and deserts, where we integrate physical and spiritual activities.

A SUSTAINABLE VISION

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

It is of the utmost importance that we respect and protect the delicate ecosystems of the natural sites we visit. In order to ensure the preservation of the environment, we make it a priority to raise awareness among campers about environmental practices and initiatives. To ensure this, we impose a charter during our events.

Plastic bottles are replaced with reusable water bottles.

Yogurt and other products are bought in bulk and not packaged.

N°3

Plastic bags are replaced with tote bags, fabric bags, baskets or koffas.

N°4

Disposable tableware (plates, cutlery...) is replaced with unbreakable reusable elements. Waste should be avoided.

Only bring what you are sure to consume.

N°6

Fishing and hunting are strictly forbidden in protected areas.

N°7

It is necessary to obtain permission before picking or consuming any plants.

N°8

It is necessary to respect the fauna and flora, not to damage the plants, and not to produce noise pollution.

We clean the campground and hiking trails by picking up the waste we find.

We take all necessary precautions regarding campfires and have an extinguisher available at all times.

Mohamed is the central figure of Tunisian Campers; his ardor and profound admiration towards nature are the impetus for the company's success. His devoted endeavors have been integral in establishing and maintaining the company's prosperity, and he oversees all operations daily.

SARRA GORDAH

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Sarra can effectively convert experiences and concepts into words and visuals. In addition to managing Tunisian Campers' social media accounts, she is responsible for maintaining business relationships with other companies. With expertise in audiovisual work, she is also involved in directing video and film productions related to the business.

Bilel has been instrumental in envisioning the team and community by capturing the everyday scenes of Tunisian Campers, which showcases a cohesive and daring team. All the photographs featured on this website have been taken by Bilel during our events.

LOGISTICS MEMBER

Yassine's role in the team is essential, as he provides a good mood atmosphere. He aids Karim with the management of the camp. He has additionally earned the position of supervisor of activities such as beach volley, due to his expertise as a tennis coach.
